...Broke the clutch slave cylinder.

Kinja'd!!!

BUT it's 34 years old so it probably just happened to break while I was driving it. Although I wasn't exactly as smooth as I could have been while driving it...

Anyway, it's a 1979 Prelude my friend just bought. Freaking crazy awesome car. Totally original, one owner, 67k miles. Even the radio still works, and it has FM! Oh, and I'm getting better at driving manual now, I didn't stall it once! I guess that's an achievement, for me at least. It sure is fun driving something so light with no power steering and almost no horsepower, haha.

Next week my friend should get some new seals in for the slave cylinder and I'll help him replace it, then it should be as good as new!

I'm kicking myself that I didn't get a shot of the interior, it looks brand new.

Actually, it was originally a NJ car, but it was garaged its /entire/ life, since the original owner had a company car. Anyway, the owner moved to NC and kept it, right until our friend bought it. (Source: I drove said friend to get the car. Pics coming.)

Awww yiss. Love new car purchases, especially retro ones.

I know nothing about the older Preludes. Are they Civic-based? What were/are they like?

If they're based on anything it'd probably be the Accord. But I'm not sure so don't quote me. The engine is from the accord of that era though, at least, that's what I've been told. I didn't know it even existed before my friend got one, but I can tell you that they're they're really quirky for a Honda. The tachometer is like the one in a Fiat 500, the radio is super weird, and it has a glass power sunroof, in 1979.
